1st Place

In the topsy-turvy world of a Chicago White Sox fan you never know what you are going to get. One season the White Sox could be in first place all year long. The next season Chicago could struggle to even make .500.

Fans a U.S. Cellular Field come to the ballpark not knowing what there White Sox tickets will behold. This season, so far, the White Sox are in first place. The rest of the American League Central is a weird funk though. The division was supposed to be one of the best and deepest. To the surprise of everyone who knows anything about MLB , that has been anything but the case.

The White Sox are on top of the division after most baseball experts picked them to finish on the bottom. The key seems to be the pitching. Javier Vazquez has become a powerhouse pitcher again and Jose Contreras is all of the sudden in 2005 shape. John Danks and Gavin Floyd have skipped a year and become real MLB pitchers. The only weak link seems to be Mark Buehrle and he is quickly improving after a disastrous start.

The bullpen has been fantastic, perhaps the best in baseball. U.S. Cellular Field is once again an exciting place to watch baseball. Last seasons debacle appears to have been erased from the memory banks of the pitching staff.

The bats are on and off though. One game they can belt four homeruns and drive in 15 runs. The next they can barely squeeze one across the plate. Carlos Quentin has emerged as a slugger after many expected him to be a giant mistake and Joe Crede is making White Sox fans happy they did not trade him in the offseason.

Fans are looking for White Sox tickets for every game now, not just half-priced Mondays. The Cell will be heating up all summer long apparently as the White Sox defy all MLB logic, kind of like they did in 2005 when they won the World Series.

Chicago ticket broker. are going to be extra busy because the Cubs are doing great up north also. After a down year for Chicago sports this summer is looking up.
